Beat Saber's Next Big Leap | Will Meta Connect 2026 Finally Reveal Beat Saber 2.0? 90/360 Maps?
**Beat Saber's "Next Big Leap" — Is It Coming at Meta Connect?** Something's building, and the timeline doesn't feel random. 🔹 **The Unfinished Sentence** — When Beat Games dropped PSVR support in June 2025, they didn't just cut a platform. They said they were "focusing on the next big leap for Beat Saber." That was 15 months ago. Since then: DLC drops, free tracks, no explanation of what the leap actually is. 🔹 **The First Price Cut in 7 Years** — August 11: $29.99 → $19.99, permanently, across every platform. Road to VR's own headline called it out: "and I Think I Know Why" — their read is Meta's testing the waters for free-to-play. Combined with Beat Saber landing in Horizon+ back in March, the base game is already free for subscribers. The 270+ track DLC catalog is where the real money sits now. 🔹 **New Tooling, Active Development** — August 26: Beat Games confirmed as an early tester of Meta XR Operator, Meta's new AI dev tool for building, testing, and debugging VR apps. That's not maintenance-mode behavior for a 7-year-old title. 🔹 **The Date** — Meta Connect hits September 23-24 in Menlo Park. Bosworth's teased headset news, but Quest 4 isn't landing until 2027 — too early for hardware. Which leaves software as the likely headline. None of this is a leak. It's a pattern — three loose threads (a promise, a price move, a tooling tell) all converging on one date. Maybe it's nothing. Nine days out, we find out. #beatsaber #metaconnect2026 #precisiondrumming
